The Reclamation State of Lugnika is a Theocracy In the Ryosei Peninsula. Founded After the Dissolution of Ryosei by Julius Aqua. As the Only humans in the Ryosei Peninsula with only 1 city and the constant threat of war, Militarism is no longer a choice. The Protection of the Church is its highest Priority, but Lugnika sold itself to the Free Company for protection against invasions and to jumpstart the Lugnikan Economy. Having Direct Access to the Central Drachenmeer and good relations with the east, Lugnikas considers itself the "gateway to the east".

Etymology

Lugnika is the name of the biggest City on the Peninsula, which was founded in the 1 year before the nation's independence. Doesn't have any relevant meaning.

History

First Settlement

It was named after the Plains to the North. Manfeld. This settlement on the River was one of the first in the region. It started as a humble Place with large Fields of wheat. Beyond the River were the Seireijin, a Race with rich culture and high development. Manfeld voluntarily chose to be a subject of the Hayakawa clan.

Dissolvment of Ryosei

Because of disagreements, the Ishikawa and Hayakawa clans brought the Nation almost to a Civil war. After many weeks, the Ishikawa took control of the Capital and banished the Hayakawa to the North of the Peninsula. The Hayakawa proclaimed the Shinsei-ryo, and Sōsuke Ishikawa proclaimed himself Shogun of Ryosei. In the middle of this chaos, Lugnika declared independence and fully mobilized to fend off any invasion from either side, but the 2 sides were too weakened to actually win any conflict against Lugnika. After the Purchase of the Free Company, Lugnika entered a Golden age of Development, diplomacy, and economic growth. Lugnika signed a non-interventionpact with both Shinsei-ryo and the Shogunate.

Valence and the Church

Most of Lugnika's history stems from its ties to the Church and Valence.

Caleum incedent

During an expedition to the Serene Republic of Caelum, a disagreement arose between the poorly equipped Church missionaries and the Republic's Army. After some battles, the Paladin force was defeated and killed by the Republic and was forced to flee. After some time, a small task force from the Republic went to Valence, and a small skirmish happened where the Republic won. Valence and Lugnika switched to a partially mobilized economy. The Republic of Caelum backed down after some more skirmishes. They won the skirmishes, but they were running low on manpower, equipment, and motivation. For now, Valence delayed the Invasion.

Ledtshov forest incedent

Ledtshov's population was on the rise, and their ambitions led them to the south, the Forest of Valence. They threatened war and immediately collapsed after seeing the military might of Valence and Lugnika. For the moment, Valence is ignoring their presence in the North.
